Board Description
Thedelys Lyr
Not very wide, not very deep, but just cool enough to catch a little bit o' sleep. The ravine trickles, down a small hill like a scar on the land, the water serving as the blood. The life of the land, the energy that pumps through the earth's veins. A nice prospect, wouldn't you say? The closest bit of land to the Sarnuk de Urus, the Thedelys Lyr was so named after an incarnation of Acux. It is said that during his work in a corporeal shape, Acux created a sore [so to speak] in the land, which he filled with his own blood. The second it touched the dirt and clay of land, it turned in water. A strand of his golden hair became the grass that stretches on either side of the 'lys Lyr, and a single one of his teeth made the boulders and pebbles which line the waterway. It runs all the way from the Sanctuary, through the Sarnuk Du [as the Ruins are sometimes called] and follows the territory all the way to the Atiayn Nitsed. Or rather, one of it's long arms reaches to that particular pool. Some see this as a holy place, but others judge it to be merely a creek where they may refill their canteens and bathe. The holier of these two would pray before drinking, the latter would peer around at the flora and fauna and judge the distance between himself and the closest food supply. Because of these rather clashing interests, and the low reliability of this particular fable, it is not regarded to be as important as the Sanctuary or the Sarnuk Du. Instead, some come here to 'find themselves', if they are too lowly to attend the Citse Palace as much as they would like.
