As in all great tales of heroes and gods, in all grand stories of demons and deities...There must be the skeptical participant. You've got to have that one little person, sometimes taking form and other times merely accompanying each and every being as a voice in their head. As I looked through me copy of Bulfinch's Mythology, I was struck by a sudden though xP.
We don't have a little trickster do we? Nopes! So, I says to myself I says: 'Now why would that be? Hmmmmmmm....'
OK, now for seriousnesses sake I shall cut the crap and get to the point. Maybe we should add another minor part in the plot. There would be the deities and the gods and all that, and then there might be a 'Loki' sort of character. I got the idea from my own charrie Eloquence. I made her neutral, because frankly, she isn't interested in being part of any sort of fight or side. She's on her own side, or on the side of the one who she considers to be morally correct. It could start out being a minor part and then it might become a bigger one. One that has a mysterious air to it.
It's a work in process, but the main building block is Loki, the trickster god in Norse mythology. I based Eloquence on him...And me xD.

That's what I was thinking. It wouldn't be a god to be worshipped or followed, the Trickster would have it's own set of rules and interfere with the other gods. Maybe, as an afterthought, we could have a host that was chosen every now and then. The Trickster, I want to keep him/her nameless (adds to the mystery), could be like a parasite or something to different lions/were-lions. It could 'posses' Eloquence's body for a period of time (to put it in the most primitive words possible) and do it's business here.
But, I think we should avoid getting carried away with it. The Trickster has very little real powers other than being able to access both worlds? Something like that...

Hmmm...I don't think so. If it felt the creature was resisting The Trickster's will, or if the deity's presence was taking it's toll on the being, then it would transfer.
"Both worlds" was a weird word-choice, now that I think of it. Because it would refer to the Gods having another world for their own, which is not part of the boards. It would mean that somebody would have to play Baisu, Enger and Acux. And, unless I haven't read the plot properly, that wasn't what we were planning. Might be cool to add, but it could be very complicated.
Of course, Eloquence would be delighted to play host for the Trickster, having followed him more closely than any other deity her whole life. So she could hold him until he decided to leave, or forever (if nobody else wants to have him).
And if we did want to make people play Baisu/Enger/Acux, for the love of god make sure they're literate! That's so disappointing when a great website has chat-speakers for gods. (or people who use 'no muse' as an excuse not to post in WEEKS, -cough-Voxxie-cough- xDDDDD)

'somebody would have to play Baisu, Enger and Acux' - Someone is playing Baisu, Enger and Acux. ;3 BUT! I don't think we will add a Deity-only world just yet, maybe later in once we have more members, more fables and more minor deities. =D
I think I’m starting to get it. The Trickster is a god, but… isn’t as strong as the others in a sense [or maybe its power is not in the same way]? Not strong enough [or perhaps not desiring] to take his own form, but instead live inside others? Maybe he does that to avoid the other gods? So they cannot find him? And would the Trickster slow down aging in its host? Or would they age at all? And what about wounds, would the trickster heal them?
Sounds good to me. =D
And... I'm playing one, Baisu. =3 The other two are up for auditions.
